Ice Players Make NHL Central Scouting List for 2012 Draft

INDIANAPOLIS-The Indiana Ice continues to make an impression on NHL scouts as three players with Ice ties are named in the NHL Central Scouting Preliminary rankings.

Goaltender Jon Gillies tops the list of USHL goaltenders, according to the preliminary ranking. The Northeastern University commit enters this week tied for second in wins (6), tied for fourth in save percentage (.919) and is fifth in goals against average (2.27).

Forward Robbie Baillargeon has also made an impact on NHL scouts in his freshman USHL season. The future Boston University Terrier ranks 11th on the Central Scouting list for USHL skaters and is currently riding a four-game point streak that includes five goals and an assist.

Rounding out the trio is former Indy defenseman Jarrod Rabey. The Rockton, Illinois native produced 18 points (5G, 13A) while tending the blue line for the Ice last season. He currently has six points (2G, 4A) in 11 games with St. Cloud State University.

Gillies, Baillargeon and the rest of the Indiana Ice are on the road tonight against Cedar Rapids and Saturday against Waterloo before returning to the Pepsi Coliseum next Friday (11/25) against Sioux City at 7:05 pm.
