Indiana Ice News Release

A "RUN" FOR THE RECORD BOOKS: The Ice's franchise best road winning streak came to a halt at nine games this past Saturday as the Des Moines Buccaneers defeated Indiana 4-1 Saturday night in Iowa. It was quite a run for the league's hottest team as the Ice was unbeaten on the road from 11/26/10-1/28/11 and outscored their opponents during the nine-game stretch 50-21. Road victims included nine different teams as Sioux City, Dubuque, Team USA U17, Youngstown, Waterloo, Tri-City, Omaha, Chicago and Lincoln were all part of the Indy carnage.

THE "GILLIES" MONSTER: Rookie goaltender Jon Gillies extended his win streak to six games as he stopped 33 of 34 shots in Friday's 3-1 win in Lincoln. The 6-5 netminder has not lost since a 4-3 setback to Team USA U17 on 12/17.

A WINNING SHADE OF WINTER: The Ice has enjoyed the winter months as the club followed up a 7-1-0 mark in December with a 9-2-0 clip for the month of January. Overall, the Icemen have gone 18-3-0 in their last 21 games.
