Indiana Ice News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Ice announced today that the Indiana Talks and WOOT-FM online radio stations will broadcast all 30 Indiana Ice regular season home games for the upcoming 2013-2014 season.
Indiana Talks is an online radio station broadcasting out of the Central Indiana area, servicing cities throughout the United States including Indianapolis, Chicago and Los Angeles. The station broadcasts a variety of different programs including Indiana sports, news and politics. Listen to the Indiana Talks broadcast at www.indianatalks.com.
This will be the second season the Ice will be featured on Indiana Talks as the station picked up Indy games midway through the 2012-2013 campaign. Each contest averaged about 300 listeners per night. In June, the station launched over 253,000 live streams.
Also broadcasting all Indy home games this season is the new online radio broadcast network WOOT-FM. The non-for-profit online radio station features the area's top alternative music, providing exposure for music groups from all over the Midwest. WOOT-FM's broadcast range covers all of Marion County at www.wootfm.com, operating out of the historic Irving Theater on East Washington Street.
Jim Mirabello will serve as the play-by-play announcer for each game on both stations as well as all home FastHockey broadcasts. Mirabello has been the official "Voice of the Ice" for the past nine seasons.
In addition to streaming all home games, the Ice and Indiana Talks are also working to organize a weekly talk show featuring Indy head coach and general manager Jeff Brown, along with other special guests.
Indy is still working on details of the 2013-2014 regular season schedule and will post on www.indianaice.com as soon as events are finalized.
The Indiana Ice is now taking deposits for 2013-2014 season ticket packages. Call the Ice office at 317-925-4423 or visit www.indianaice.com.
