Indiana Ice News Release
INDIANAPOLIS-The Indiana Ice announced today that goaltender Jason Pawloski has been named the USHL Goaltender of the Week.
Pawloski is the first Iceman to receive weekly honors this season after netminding the Indy to their first back-to-back wins of the season against the Dubuque Fighting Saints on Saturday and the Des Moines Buccaneers on Sunday.
The Minnesota State-Mankato commit faced a season-high 41 shots in Saturday's 5-3 victory over Dubuque, including a 19-shot barrage in the second period. He followed up Saturday's performance with a 20-save effort in the Ice's 6-1 plundering of the Des Moines Buccaneers from Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Pawloski finished the weekend with a .935 save percentage and a 2.00 GAA for the two games.
After a slow start to the season, the Omaha, NE native has earned a 3-1-1 record in his last five appearances in net. Through the stretch of games, he has compiled a .935 save percentage and a 1.73 GAA while holding opponents to one goal or less on three occasions.
Pawloski and the Indiana Ice continue through their seven-game home stretch as they host the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders this Friday (11/1) from Bankers Life Fieldhouse, presented by Ivy Tech. The first 500 fans at the game will receive a free water bottle, courtesy of Ivy Tech.
Season and group tickets are now on sale for all 2013-2014 Indiana Ice home games. Flex packages and additional ticket packages are available starting as low as $50. For more information, call the Indiana Ice at (317) 925-4423.
