Ice Girls Auditions Set For October 7

CELEBRATION, Fla. - Ladies, have you ever dreamed of being part of a hip, hot promotions team supporting the hottest sport on ice? Have you always pictured yourself as a member of a sizzling dance team, entertaining fans young and old alike?

Now's your chance.

Florida Seals General Manager Bryan Elliott and Community Relations / Ice Girls Coordinator Kristin DeCubellis announced plans for this year's Ice Girls auditions to be held on Saturday, October 7 at the Osceola Heritage Park Exhibition Hall's Kissimmee Room B.

The auditions, which begin at 10 A.M. with registration at 9:30 A.M., will assist the Seals in choosing not one but two groups for the upcoming season. One will be a Promotional Team that will be involved in community events and participate in promotional events. The other will be a Dance Team which will entertain between periods at the Silver Spurs Arena with choreographed dance numbers.

Members of the Ice Girls squads will be at Seals home games throughout the season and playoffs, participate in calendar and photo shoots, conduct a mini camp for children and represent the organization at events in the community.

Applicants will be asked to learn a short dance routine, perform a talent and participate in individual interviews with members of the Seals' staff. The names of those chosen as Ice Girls will be announced on the team web site, www.floridaseals.com , on October 11th.

Requirements to be an Ice Girl include being at least 18 years of age by October 7, 2006 and having a valid driver's license. Those auditioning will be asked to wear two piece dance attire with flesh colored tights and have hair and makeup done for performance (no ponytails) as well as being prepared to perform a one to two minute talent (dance, singing, playing a musical instrument, etc.).
