Ice Flyers Fall 4-1 to Rail Yard Dawgs

PENSACOLA, FL. -Â The Pensacola Ice Flyers fell 4-1 to the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs in their first meeting at The Hangar this season. The Rail Yard Dawgs' goals were scored by Cameron Bakker and Riley Spraggs, with two goals from Maxime Guyon. Jesskyo Bernard scored the lone goal for the Ice Flyers.
The Ice Flyers outshot the Rail Yard Dawgs 13-10 in the first period. However, neither team was able to score.
The Rail Yard Dawgs dominated the second period, scoring four goals in five minutes. The first came from Cameron Bakker, assisted by Phil Bronner and Zach Tatrn at 2:17. A little over a minute later at 3:23 Maxime Guyone scored. He was assisted by Cameron Bakker and Nick Schnieder. Riley Spraggs scored a minute later at 4:25, with assists from Matt Beer and Nick Schneider. After the third goal, Brian Billett replaced Gordon Defiel in net. Maxime Guyon scored once again with an unassisted goal at 7:03. The Ice Flyers narrowly outshot the Rail Yard Dawgs 14-13.
Jessyko Bernard scored the lone goal of the third period with the Ice Flyers' only goal of the game at 3:04. He was assisted by Charlie Adams. The Ice Flyers once again outshot the Rail Yard Dawgs 17-5.
Notes:
The Ice Flyers play again tomorrow night, Saturday, March 3 at 7:05 p.m. against the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs for the second day of $5 Weekend. Tickets can be purchased online at ticketmaster.com or at the Pensacola Bay Center Box Office.
The Ice Flyers then play the Mississippi RiverKings at home on Wednesday, March 7 at 7:05 p.m. This game is the rescheduled February 16 game against the Mississippi RiverKings. Any ticket purchased for the February 16 game will be valid for the March 7 game. All exchanges can be done at the Bay Center Box office in person Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Ice Flyers will then travel to Birmingham to take on the Bulls Friday, March 9 at 7:35 p.m. and Saturday, March 10 at 7:05 p.m.
