The snowball started rolling downhill seconds later when Vanwysberghe notched his 15th of the year from the left slot at 7:39. Before the initial stanza was over, Dayton added a fourth goal on a pass from Vanwynsberghe to Ahmed Mahfouz. The tally was his sixth of the season and gave the Demonz a 4-0 lead.

Dashers Three Second Period Goals Down Berkshire, 4-2
The Danville Dashers and the Berkshire Battalion went to battle from the David S. Palmer Arena from Danville on Friday, December 19, 2014. The first period was dry of goals, however featured many power play opportunities for the Battalion. The Battalion had four power plays in the first period but couldn't convert on any, thanks to textbook penalty killing from the Dashers. The Dashers also had a power play opportunity of their own, but like Berkshire couldn't convert. The Battalion did outshoot the Dashers in the first, 15-9.
The Battalion found themselves on a power play very early in the second and finally converted on one, off the stick of Vladyslav Gavrik. About 12 minutes later in the period the Dashers had a chance in front of the net, but Louie George made the save. After the save Andrew Harrison and Ian Reopel had a scrap which resulted in Harrison receiving a four minute double-minor for roughing, and a Reopel getting a ten minute misconduct penalty. As both teams were at four skaters a piece, the Dashers A.J. Tesoriero went top-shelf on Louie George of Berkshire to even things up at one apiece. Just after the Tesoriero goal, Jonathon Juliano and Justin Brausen scored back-to-back goals to give the Dashers A 3-1 lead they took into the locker room after the second period.
The Dashers lead 3-1 going into the third period, and they wouldn't look back. The Battalion cut the lead to 3-2 off a failed clear by Danville, and Jeffery Sanders found Martin Uhnak. However, the Dashers opened their lead back up to two goals as Wehebe Darge found Andrew Harrison in front of Louie George to push the lead to 4-2. The Dashers would take that 4-2 lead to victory. The Dashers are in Steel City tomorrow night for their last game before the Christmas break.
