
Hurricanes Trade Kovacs to Seattle

LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced Wednesday they have traded 2004-born defenseman Easton Kovacs to the Seattle Thunderbirds in exchange for a fifth-round draft selection in the 2024 Western Hockey League Prospects Draft.
Kovacs, 17, was originally signed by Hurricanes in 2020 after going undrafted in the WHL Draft. The Delta, BC product appeared in 46 regular season games with the 'Canes in 2021-2022 totaling two points (1g-1a) along with 17 penalty minutes and a minus-5 rating. The 6'4, 196-pound rearguard suited up in 57 regular season games with Lethbridge over two seasons.
The Hurricanes wish Easton the best moving forward in his hockey career.
