
Hounds Select Garrett Thul First Overall in 2015 MLL Supplemental Draft

BOSTON (Dec. 17, 2014) - Attackman Garrett Thul was selected No.1 overall by the Charlotte Hounds in the 2015 MLL Supplemental Draft on Wednesday, making this the third team in Thul's young professional career.
Thul was originally selected in the 3rd round (No. 21 overall) of the 2013 Collegiate Draft by the Hamilton Nationals and transitioned to the Florida Launch in 2014. the Army product appeared in 14 regular season games recording 24 goals (three 2pt goals) and two assists. He was also a member of Team USA at the FIL World Lacrosse Championships in Denver last July where he appeared in every game recording seven goals and one assist on his way to helping the United States capture the silver medal in the tournament.
The Supplemental draft, designed to bolster teams rosters from 23 to 35 players, began with a trade involving the Florida Launch and the Denver Outlaws. Florida sent goalie Dillon Ward and two fourth round selections in exchange for goalie Charlie Cipriano and attackman Curtis Dickson.
