Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC News Release
PITTSBURGH - Today, Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC will continue its action in the USL eCup: Rocket League Edition against San Antonio FC. The esports match will take place at 3 p.m. and can be streamed live on ESPN3.
This will be the Hounds' second match in the group play stage, as the squad lost its first game to Rio Grande Valley FC last week.
Midfielder Kenardo Forbes will represent the Hounds in their match, a 1-v-1 competition, against San Antonio FC today. The winner of this showdown will be determined by a best of three series.
Launched in 2015, Rocket League has become one of the premier games in esports and won Best Sports Game at E3 in 2015. With a head-to-head format that models the game of soccer, it sees players navigate their vehicles to direct the ball toward the net and score goals.
