
Hot Play of Tulsa's T.J. Caig Wins Weekly Recognition

(Tempe, Arizona) - The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that Tulsa forward T.J. Caig has been voted the winner of the CHL Performance of the Week for the week of November 9th-15th in what finished as the highest voting percentage in the three year history of the weekly award. The first-year Oiler earns the award after scoring two goals in each of Tulsa's three games that week, all wins.
Caig received 2,254 during the fan voting period accounting for 89% of the total 2,522 votes cast. Finishing second in the voting was Colorado's Riley Nelson and Kevin Ulanski who both posted four-point nights in the Eagles win over Amarillo on November 11th.
The Kelowna, British Columbia native is the Oilers leading goal scorer with 12 sitting one behind the league, Ryan Held of Mississippi with 13 goals. Caig scored at least a goal in every game between November 3rd and 20th accounting for a seven-game goal scoring streak (10 total goals scored during the streak).
The Oilers, behind the great play of Caig, are currently in first place in the Northern Conference with 22 points (11-3-0) and are currently on a seven-game win streak.
The nominees for the CHL Performance of the Week for week six of the season (the period between November 16th-22nd) are as follows:
-Mississippi's Bobby Chaumont scoring a hat trick in team's 6-1 win versus Missouri on November 21st
-Wichita's Mark Adamek scoring power play goals just 14 seconds apart in SO loss to Tulsa on November 21st
-Allen's Chris Whitley making 33 saves in shutout of Corpus Christi on November 21st
-Texas rookie Joe Palmer earning first professional shutout in win at Laredo on November 21st
-Odessa's Collin Circelli scoring game-tying goal and shootout game winner in win at Laredo on November 20th.
Fans can vote for the winner until Monday, November 30th with the winner being announced on Tuesday, December 1st.
