
Horsemen DL Peoples invited to NFL tryout

Lexington Horsemen defensive lineman Sylvester Peoples has been invited to a three-day combine tryout with the Green Bay Packers and the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League. Peoples will travel to Atlanta, GA on Thursday afternoon for the tryout, and will be evaluated for three days. Peoples is expected to know what his next step will be on Sunday.
Peoples, who played collegiately at Kentucky State, currently leads the Horsemen with 4.0 sacks and 7.0 tackles for loss in five games. He ranks fifth in the NIFL in total sacks and ninth in total tackles for loss on the season.
Peoples will be available for interviews at the Horsemen's practice tonight at Kentucky Indoor Soccer and Sports (formerly Sports Blast). The Horsemen will practice at Kentucky Indoor Soccer and Sports tonight from 7:30 to 9:30 PM, and Wednesday from 7:30 to 9:30 PM. They will practice in Rupp Arena from from 7:30 to 9:30 PM Thursday.
The Horsemen (3-2) will face the Wichita Falls (TX) Thunder in a special Friday night game in Rupp Arena this week. Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM.
