HOOKS BEGIN SEVEN-GAME HOMESTAND TONIGHT!
Hooks Heroes package returns Monday, July 9 FIREWORKS & BASEBALL - The Hooks return to Whataburger Field tonight at 7:05 against Wichita to begin a seven-game, six-day homestand. Celebrate Independence Day with postgame fireworks. The Hooks will wear special red, white and blue jerseys, courtesy of American Bank. The jerseys are to be auctioned after the game, with proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity. The action continues Thursday with a 5:30 doubleheader. Gates open at 5 o'clock and Thursday tickets are good for both seven-inning contests.
With just 12 home games on the schedule this month, be sure to stop by the ballpark this weekend. On Saturday, Roger Clemens Bobblehead Dolls, courtesy of Wigington-Rumley, go to the first 2,500 fans. Sunday, 1,500 kids 12-and-under will receive Hooks Kids' Replica Jerseys, presented by Coca-Cola. Find the complete promotions schedule here. FAITH NIGHT - The Faith Nights Baseball Tour rolls through Whataburger Field Wednesday, July 18, when Corpus Christi takes on Midland at 7:05. The Afters, along with VeggieTales, are set for a pregame concert at 5:30. Tickets, starting at $15 for both events and $10 for the concert only, are available at the Hooks Ticket Office. GIVE THE GIFT OF LIFE - The Hooks and Coastal Bend Blood Center are teaming up for a blood drive at Whataburger Field on Monday, July 9. Visit the blood mobile between 4 and 8. It will be parked on the west side of the ballpark. Donate and you'll receive a voucher good for two general admission tickets to any Hooks home game.
TEXAS LEAGUE HONORS - Six players have been inducted into the Texas League Hall of Fame. Here's the story.
CHRISTMAS IN JULY - The Hooks' annual toy drive for Wishes and Dreams will be held each day of the Midland series July 15-18. This effort benefits underprivileged children in Nueces County. Bring your new and unwrapped toys to Whataburger Field and pick up a voucher good for two reserved seat tickets to any Sunday-Thursday home game, based on availability.
BUILD YOUR SAMMY - Hook, Line & Sinker is hosting a special event this Saturday! Kids young and old can build their very own Sammy the Seagull doll with Animal Land. Sammy appears in the store during the second, sixth, eighth and ninth innings for autographs and to help youngsters create Corpus Christi's most loveable seagull. Hook, Line & Sinker, located next to the Right Field gate at Whataburger Field, is open 10-6 weekdays and 11-4 weekends.
