Columbus Catfish News Release

Columbus, GA - The Columbus Catfish are inviting top-notch students to a free ballgame at Golden Park. Honor Roll Night will be on Saturday, April 7 when the Catfish host the Kannapolis Intimidators beginning at 7:00pm.

Area schools should determine what factors make an Honor Roll student, possibly including high grades, perfect attendance, or good behavior. Then fill out paperwork from the Catfish to secure a free general admission ticket for each Honor Roll student.

Baseball in Education Day on Tuesday, May 1 is another way to treat hard working students. Educational activities will fill the concourse before the Catfish face the Rome Braves starting at 11:00am. Students will get one general admission ticket, one hot dog, one juice box and a bag of chips for $5 per student. Call (706) 571-8866 to schedule a field trip for your kids!

Local businesses are encouraged to reach out to their Partners in Education schools to support funding for these field trips to the ballpark.

The 2007 season will begin Thursday, April 5th when the Catfish host the Kannapolis Intimidators, Class-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. For tickets, group rates or merchandise visit www.columbuscatfish.com.
