Medford Rogues News Release

CHICO, Ca. - Blake Baumgartner (UC San Diego) hit two home runs, and starting pitcher Tanner Simpson struck out six over four innings of work, but it wasn't enough, as the Rogues fell to the Heat, 7-5.

The Rogues put the tying runs in scoring position with two outs in the ninth for Mitch Neunborn (North Iowa Area CC). Neunborn hit a laser to right-centerfield. A diving catch by Heat right fielder Cole Lemmel robbed the Rogues of the game-tying hit to end the game.
