Tupelo FireAnts News Release
The Tupelo FireAnts (1-11) will be at home this Friday, June 27th to face Atlantic South Division foes, the Oklahoma Crude (2-11). This will be the 2003 home finale for the FireAnts, who have gone 1-5 in the BancorpSouth Center this season. Tupelo will be led by quarterback Darryl Carter, running back Allen Copeland, and wideout Chris Rainey. Defensive backs Eric Bingham and Ricky Franklin will lead the âAnts charge on defense with defensive lineman Erick Chandler clogging up the middle. Oklahoma will be led on offense by quarterback John Howdeshell, running back Travis Booker, and wideout Jackie Warren. The Crude defense will be led by lineman Chris Mathis, and defensive back Marcus Long.
