Bacon Bits:
Defenseman Nathan Lutz has an IceHogs franchise record six-game post season scoring streak dating back to April 19. During his streak, Lutz has 3g-7a-10pts.
Lutz and center Alex Kim both also have franchise record four game assist streak dating back to Game Five of round one on 4/22/05.
Winger J.F. Dufour made a successful return to the line-up after missing almost all of round one, scoring 2g-2a-4pts in the Semi-Finals first two games.
A liability in the regular season, the IceHogs power play has turned into a positive, as the club has tallied a power play goal in each of their last four games and are converting 19.2% of their advantages in the post season.
After giving up 47 shots on goal during Friday's 7-4 loss at Fort Wayne, the IceHogs rebounded with a stingy 25 shots against Saturday in their 4-1 win over the Komets.
Rockford scored three goals on only six third period shots in Saturday's win over Fort Wayne.
Lutz tied a franchise record when he scored a goal 14 seconds into the third period Saturday. Winger Brandon Segal accomplished the feat during Game Two against Kalamazoo in the first round.
Both early period goals were the eventual game-winners in the respective games.
Winger Eric Labelle, who leads the league in post season PIM's, wasn't whistled for a penalty in the post season for the first time Saturday.
