THE HILLCATS: Last night the Hillcats fell 9-3 to the Blue Rocks in game two of the three-game series at Wilmington...The loss snapped Lynchburg's four-game win streak...Today is the final game of a brief three-game road trip and the first rubber match of the season for the Cats...11 of the first 14 games of the year for Lynchburg are at Calvin Falwell Field...

VS. WILMINGTON: Last season the Blue Rocks won the series 11-9...The first trip to Frawley Stadium last season was not a fun won for the Hillcats...Wilmington swept the three-game series and outscored Lynchburg 26-3...That was part of an 18-game stretch in May last year in which the Cats went 3-15...

ROLE REVERSAL: After the Hillcats came back from an early two-run deficit in game one of the series on Friday night, the Blue Rocks did the same last night en route to their 9-3 win...Prior to last night, Lynchburg had come from behind to win in three straight games and five of their seven victories were comeback wins...

CLUBBING CATCHER: C Kris Watts is off to an incredible start this season...In eight games this year he is leading the Carolina League batting average...He is hitting .417 (10-for-24) with five doubles, a triple, a home run, five RBI, seven runs scored and six walks...He has an on-base percentage of .533 and a slugging percentage of .833, which combine to give him a 1.037 OPS...Friday night he went 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored...His two-bagger began the frame that the Hillcats scored all four of their runs in...

MR. CLUTCH: INF Matt Hague drove-in his eighth run of the season in the first inning of last night's game...He is 5-for-8 (.625) so far this season with men in scoring position...The former ninth round selection is also 4-for-6 (.667) with men in scoring position and two out...Last night was the fourth time this season he drove-in a run in the first inning...

GO TO YOUR HOME! 3B Pedro Alvarez has driven home 15 men so far this season, which puts him atop the Carolina League in that category...He had four RBI in his first professional game in the season opener and he drove-in six more in the Hillcats 9-6 win on Thursday night...Alvarez had 14 RBI in the Cats eight-game homestand to start the year...

TEA TIME: LHP Everett Teaford earned the win for Wilmington last night in their 9-3 victory...The lefty improved to 4-1 with a 2.55 ERA against the Hillcats in seven career starts...

SWITCHING SQUADS: RHP Michael Dubee was added to the Lynchburg roster yesterday after he was acquired in a trade with the Chicago White Sox organization for INF Andy Phillips...Dubee pitched against Lynchburg on Tuesday night...He allowed two runs in an inning of work and took the loss in the Cats 7-4 win at City Stadium...Dubee made his Hillcats debut last night and allowed one run in two innings of relief...

TONIGHT'S OPPOSING PITCHER: RHP Alex Caldera was drafted in the 13th round of the 2007 draft by the Royals out of the University of California-Irvine...He made his debut at the Rookie League level that year with the Burlington Royals and went 1-2 with a 3.40 ERA and two saves in 12 games (seven starts)...He advanced to Low-A with the Burlington Bees and posted a 12-6 record with a 2.90 ERA in 25 starts...Caldera has made two starts this season and has an 0-1 record with a 2.00 ERA...Today will be his first start against the Hillcats...
