CINCINNATI - Recently earning a spot on Sports Center's Top 10, Mitch Hildebrandt was voted an honorable mention on the United Soccer League Team of the Week for a pair of game-changing saves last week against Toronto FC II.
With the score knotted at 1-1, Hildebrandt blocked away a line shot from Sal Barnal with six minutes remaining and then was able to recover and stop a header on the attempt by Bubacarr Jobe. Hildebrandt, whose momentum was taking him towards the goal, was able to swing around and prevent the ball from crossing the goal line.
Hildebrandt has played every minute in the team's inaugural season and is tied for first in the USL with 450 minutes.
