Hicks Named UIF Player of the Week

For the second time this season, Adam Hicks of the Sioux Falls Storm received Special Teams Player of the Week. Hicks helped lead the undefeated Storm (9-0) over the Sioux City Bandits (4-5) last Saturday night by hitting on 6 of 6 PAT's and also three of his four field goal attempts with his long being a 39-yarder near the end of the fourth quarter. On the season, Adam is second field goals (12), first in field goal percentage (44.4%), and third in PAT percentage (84.2%) in the league

The Week 10 edition of the "Kurtiss Riggs Show" will air on Wednesday night, May 24 starting at 5:45 PM on AM 1230 KWSN. The show will air until 6:45 PM. Coach Riggs and the "Voice of the Storm", Rich Roste, will review Saturday night's 51-34 victory over the Sioux City Bandits. Riggs will also discuss where the team is at and his thoughts on the rest of the season as the Storm heads into their BYE weekend.

Also joining Rich Roste will be the wives of two of the Storm coaches. Leisa Riggs and Kristen Aldrich will be in studio to talk about being apart of the "Storm Family" and what they go through during a long season of indoor football. Leisa is the wife of Storm head coach, Kurtiss Riggs and Kristen is the wife of Storm defensive coordinator, Mike Aldrich.

The Storm has Memorial Weekend off but will travel to Omaha to take on the Beef Friday, June 2 for a 7:35 PM kick-off. Spots are still available on the "Storm Chaser" Bus Trip to Omaha with a cost of $45. The next home game for the Storm is Saturday, June 10 when the Peoria Rough Riders visit the Storm Shelter for Kid's Night with the first 2,500 kids receiving a 2006 Storm Team Poster brought to you by Avera McKennan Hospital.
