RENO, Nev. - In just his first season at Minor League Baseball's highest level, Reno Aces catcher John Hester has been named to the 2009 Topps Triple-A All-Star Team, MiLB announced today.

In August, Hester was selected to the All-Pacific Coast League team by the league's media and managers. He completed his first season in Triple-A with a.328 batting average, nine home runs and 66 RBIs.

Hester threw out 29.6 percent of would-be base stealers in 2009 and carried a.989 fielding percentage. Between May and August, the Stanford product hit in 26-straight games at Aces Ballpark, tied for the longest home hitting streak in the PCL this season.

Hester was rewarded with a call-up to the Arizona Diamondbacks in August and promptly made his mark, becoming just the 101st player in baseball history to homer in his first-career Major League at-bat.

Other PCL representatives on the Triple-A All-Star Team include Las Vegas' Randy Ruiz, Nashville's Alcides Escobar, Fresno's John Bowker, Albuquerque's Mitch Jones and Omaha's Lenny DiNardo.

Earlier today, the Aces revealed game times for their 72-game slate at Aces Ballpark in 2010. Reno also announced it will not raise prices for season and single-game tickets in the 2010 season.
