Heroes, Stampede Game Is Off
Published on April 20, 2006 under American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) News Release
CANTON, Ohio -- Due to a scheduling miscommunication and arena unavailability, Saturday's American Indoor Football League game between the Steubenville Stampede and the Huntington Heroes has been changed, league officials announced today.
"We regret that through a series of miscommunications with both the League and the respective arenas and team owners, Saturday's game won't go on as scheduled, "said AIFL Council Seth Arkow. "We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this unfortunate turn of events. Please know that both teams finish their season with a full complement of games."
Huntington is 4-2 and battling for the lead in the AIFL's Northern Conference while Steubenville is still searching for that elusive first victory at 0-7.
