Heroes game postponed

April 20, 2006 - American Indoor Football Association (AIFA)
Huntington Heroes News Release

Huntington WV - The AIFL game between the Huntington Heroes and Steubenville Stampede originally scheduled for Saturday, April 22 has been postponed. A scheduling conflict with the Steubenville arena has forced the teams to seek an alternative date.

Both team owners along with the AIFL have exhausted all possible scenarios to hold the contest this weekend. Team owner and CEO Greg Ramey said "IT IS DISAPPOINTING TO SEE THE LEAGUE ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN, THE HEROES FANS DESERVE TO SEE THEIR TEAM PLAY EACH WEEK. HOWEVER, I WANT HUNTINGTON TO KNOW THAT I WILL CONTINUE TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT FOR OUR COMMUNITY AND TEAM. THE HEREOS WILL CONTINUE TO SET THE STANDARD FOR EXCELLENCE AND STRIVE TOWARDS PROVIDING A CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM FOR YEARS TO COME. I WANT TO THANK HUNTINGTON FOR THEIR UNDYING SUPPORT OF THE HEROES."

The Heroes will travel to Syracuse next Saturday to take on the Solders. Huntington returns home on Saturday May 6 with a game against Canton. It will be the first meeting between these two North Division foes.

For tickets or schedule information, call the Heroes office at 304 781 6800.
