Hernandez hit a solo home run off starter Tom Windle (9-4) in the first inning to give the JetHawks (50-38) an early but short-lived lead.

Rancho Cucamonga (48-40) tied the game on a Steven Proscia scoring fly ball in the second inning and went on to score three runs in the third and one in the fourth to build a 5-1 lead against Kent Emanuel (3-3). Jack Mayfield doubled in the seventh and scored on an error for Lancaster's final run.

Rob Rogers tossed a perfect ninth inning for his seventh save.
