Hernan Dario Gomez ready for debut with Guatemala tonight

Miami, FL- The Guatemalan National Soccer Team is facing their first game in the Hernan Gomez era, tonight, when they play Haiti at 8:00 PM, at Tropical Park Stadium.

The Guatemalans practiced under "El Bolillo" for the first time on Tuesday afternoon at the facilities in Las Palmas Hotel and Suites in Fort Lauderdale. This morning they resumed their practices at 9:00 AM and the Colombian coach has everything set to face the Caribbean team

Gomez is not keeping any secrets as he has already revealed the starting lineup for tonight's match; Ricardo Trigueño Foster, Pablo Melgar, Henry Medina, Nestor Martinez Norales, Gustavo Cabrera, Freddy Thompson, Saul de Matta, Guillermo Ramirez, Mario Rodriguez, Gonzalo Romero and Carlos Ruiz.

The Guatemalan players are excited to begin a new course under the guidance of Hernan Dario Gomez. Municipal's midfielder, Guillermo "el Pando" Ramirez, spoke about the new challenge and about the game against Haiti. "It's always exciting to begin a new process and especially now that we have a new head coach. We would like to win against Haiti tonight because I feel it's important to begin this new era with a victory."

During the game between Guatemala and Haiti, Miami FC will be giving away jerseys from the Guatemalan National Soccer Team autographed by the players. Also, Transportes Zuleta will be giving away television sets, as they did in last week's game between Miami FC and Guatemalan Champions, CSD Municipal.

Haiti practiced yesterday afternoon (4:00 PM) at Tropical Park Stadium. The Caribbean side will not be holding any more practices today before the match. The Haitian National Team is coached by Carlo Marcelin.
