The Sioux Falls Stampede completed the regular season Friday night, earning a shootout point against Green Bay to finish the year 43-13-4 and with 90 points, both franchise records. The Stampede are now gearing up for their first round series against the Tri-City Storm, which begins Wednesday night (March 29th) at the Sioux Falls Arena. The Stampede hold home ice advantage in the first round and will host Games 1, 2 and if necessary, Game 5. The Herd went 6-1-1 against the Storm during the regular season.

Hartzell Ranks 1st Amongst USHL Coaches

After leading the Stampede to their first ever Anderson Cup championship and back to the playoffs for the first time in four years, head coach Kevin Hartzell has become the USHL's all-time winningest coach with a 238-96-12 record and a winning percentage of .710%!

Hartzell has surpassed Omaha Head Coach Mike Hastings and Sioux City's Dave Siciliano who both have winning percentages of .693. Hartzell started his USHL coaching career in 1983 with the St. Paul Vulcans. In six years, Hartzell guided the Vulcans to an Anderson Cup and Clark Cup Championship and took his team to the Clark Cup Finals three of his six years.
