Herd Return Home This Friday And Saturday

The high flying Stampede (22-8-9) return home to the Sioux Falls Arena this Friday and Saturday night for games against Youngstown and Green Bay. Friday night, fans are encouraged to bring their skates for the McDonald's Post-Game "Skating Party." On Saturday, fans will be entertained during the first intermission with the 3rd Annual Sioux Nation Pet Clinic Wiener Dog Race!

The Stampede will play four games in six days this week starting tomorrow night (Tuesday) when the Herd travel to Lincoln at 7 PM. The Stampede then return home Friday and Saturday before traveling to Waterloo on Sunday for a 3 PM game.

The Herd are 4-0-1 in their last five games and 7-1-2 in their last 10, good for third place in the West Division. They Herd sit just six points behind Omaha for second place with three games in hand and eight points behind Fargo for first place with two games in hand.

STAMPEDE ACQUIRE ALL-STAR FORWARD ANTHOINE FROM CHICAGO

The Stampede announced yesterday they have acquired All-Star forward Mark Anthoine from the Chicago Steel in exchange for Stampede affiliate forward Charlie O'Connor.

Anthoine led the Steel in goals with 21 and was second in assists with 18. He is tied for the league lead with four shorthanded goals and is tied for second in the league with 19 even strength goals.

B2 NETWORKS VIEWING PARTY TUESDAY NIGHT

Buffalo Wild Wings in Sioux Falls is the place to be tomorrow night when the Stampede travel to Lincoln. Fans can watch the game on the B2 Networks "live" at Buffalo Wild Wings starting at 7 PM! Watch the Herd as they look to move up the West Division standings against the Stars. The Herd are 3-0-0 against Lincoln this season.

Fans can watch the entire game on the TV Big Screens, plus have a chance to win Stampede prizes!

It's also Wing Tuesday! Traditional wings will be just $0.40 each all night! After 9 PM, fans can enjoy $1.00 12-OZ Domestic Taps, $1.50 Captain Morgan and $3.00 Energy Blasters!

McDonald's Skating Party Friday Night!

Following the Stampede's tilt with Youngstown on Friday night, fans can skate with the Stampede players for 30 minutes as part of the McDonald's of Sioux falls and Brandon "Skating Party."

Fans can skate with the players for 30 minutes on the arena ice as well as take pictures and get autographs from their favorite players! Please note that the Arena does not rent skates, so please bring your own skates to the game.

For non-skating fans, selected players will be made available outside the Stampede locker room for autographs following the game as well.

Wiener Dog Race this Saturday Night

This Saturday is the much anticipated 3rd Annual Sioux Nation Pet Clinic "Wiener Dog Race" during the Stampede/Green Bay game! 30 Wiener dogs will take part in one race during the first intermission, but only one will be crowned champion!

There are still a few racing spots available for Saturday night. If you would like to race your dachshund, please email Jim Olander at: olander@sfstampede.com

The race is a benefit for Dakota Dachshund Rescue. Fans can purchase tickets to the game for just $10 with $5 from each ticket sold benefiting Dakota Dachshund Rescue! Email Jim Olander ( olander@sfstampede.com) for more information.

Dakota Dachshund Rescue will be on hand in the front lobby prior to the game with several adoptable dogs. In addition, they will be selling "Chuck-a-Pucks" in the front lobby as a fundraiser for their program.

BROADHURST'S BIG WEEKEND HELPS LIFT MAVS IN CCHA STANDINGS

Former Stampede forward Terry Broadhurst had a huge weekend for the University of Nebraska at Omaha. On Friday, Broadhurst recorded a natural hat-trick in the Mavericks 5-5 tie with Ohio State. All three goals for Broadhurst were scored on the powerplay. The Mavericks went on to win in a shootout, 3-2.

On Saturday, Broadhurst recorded a goal and an assist in a 4-3 win over the Buckeyes. Broadhurst tallied the second goal of the game, again on the powerplay, and helped up setting the game winning goal at 8:38 of the third period.
