Arizona Sting News Release

GLENDALE, AZ --- Arizona Sting Head Coach/General Manager Bob Hamley will be behind the bench at this season's NLL All-Star Game for a second straight year. Hamley has been named Assistant Coach of the West Division for the upcoming mid-season showcase, scheduled to take place at the Rose Garden in Portland on Saturday, March 10, 2007. Colorado Mammoth bench boss Gary Gait will serve as Head Coach on the team. Darris Kilgour of the Buffalo Bandits has been named Head Coach for the East Division, with Ed Comeau of the Rochester Knighthawks set to serve as his assistant. The coaching staffs for both teams were determined by the finishing order of the 2006 Champion's Cup Playoffs.

Last year, Hamley led the West Division to their first victory in NLL All-Star history, overseeing a dramatic comeback over the East Division at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. Trailing in the fourth quarter, the West charged back with five unanswered goals to win the game by a final score of 14-13.

Currently in his fourth season with the Sting, Hamley has led Arizona to back-to-back appearances in the West Division Finals. In 2005, he became the first man in league history to earn both Head Coach and General Manager of the Year honors. This past October, Hamley was named to the coaching staff of Team Canada for the 2007 World Indoor Lacrosse Championships.

The Arizona Sting is a professional indoor lacrosse team playing in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). Their home games are played at Jobing.com Arena and their season runs annually from January-April. For more information, please visit www.ArizonaSting.com.
