Lubbock was able to get back in to the game after 5 turnovers by the Fury and a 3-point shot by Shanta Ramdhanny tied the game at 16-16 with 9:21 remaining in the first-half.

Much like the first meeting between the two teams, Lubbock was able to capitalize off of the Fury's mistakes. Dallas committed 14 first-half turnovers that turned in to 13-points for Lubbock.

After a lot of aggressive play by both teams, and missed calls by the officials, Nancy Lieberman, head coach of Dallas, threaten to take her team home with 3:13 remaining in the first-half, after Cheryl Ford received the teams' second technical foul.

After a brief intermission the game was back in progress. Dallas shot only 27% from the field, to Lubbock's 47% in the first-half and went in to halftime trailing the Hawks 28-30.

Dallas started the second-half on fire, outscoring Lubbock 16-5. DeForge led the Fury to a 46-35 lead over the Hawks with 13:51 remaining in the game. After a brief Lubbock timeout, the Hawks started a comeback sparked by Stacy Stephens in the post, but Dallas quickly put an end to a run by Lubbock, continuing to outscore the Hawks in the second-half, improving their shooting from the field to 59%.

The Fury finished the game without Ford, who received her second technical foul with less than 3-minutes left in the game.

Dallas handed Lubbock their second heartbreak of the season, with another home lost. Lubbock came within 2 with :25 remaining in the game. Off of a steal by Rochelle Luckett with :19 remaining Stephens scored down low, which would have tied the game for Lubbock, but was called for a charge.

DeForge led all scores with 25-points, improving Dallas' record to (4-5).

Kelly Mazzante led the Hawks with 17-points, but it was not enough for the win. Lubbock falls to (5-5) on the season and plays again on Saturday, February 12th, when they travel to Dallas.
