Havoc Scores Two Big Wins On Road

HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc had a disappointing setback at home to the Louisiana Ice Gators on Thursday but responded by going on the road and getting two big wins over the Knoxville Ice Bears and the Fayetteville FireAntz.
Thursday, March 18 - Louisiana 5, Huntsville 3
HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Louisiana Ice Gators scored four goals in the second period on their way to a 5-3 win over the Huntsville Havoc Thursday night.
Erik Kent and Mike Ruberto both had two goals each for the Ice Gators while Nick Pernula scored one.
Andrew Schembri, Mike Carter and Jeff Winchester scored goals for the Havoc.
The Havoc outshot the Ice Gators 50-23 but Adam Dekker made 47 saves in the win. Dan McWhinney made 18 in the loss.
Saturday, March 20 - Huntsville 5, Knoxville 2
KNOXVILLE, TN - The Huntsville Havoc broke a 2-2 tie with three goals in the third period on their way to a 5-2 win over the Knoxville Ice Bears on the road Saturday night.
Andrew Schembri scored two third period goals and Nick Monroe added one on a penalty shot for the Havoc.
Jeff Winchester put the Havoc on the board early in the first when scored a powerplay goal. B.J. Pelkey scored later in the first and the game was tied 1-1 at the first intermission.
Justin Rohr scored a short-handed goal in the second period and the Havoc held a 2-1 lead after two periods of play. Tim Vitek scored early in the third period to tie the game at 2-2.
Mark Sibbald made 21 saves in the win. Andrew Gallant made 29 in the loss.
Sunday, March 21 - Huntsville 4, Fayetteville 2
FAYETTEVILLE, NC - Brett Liscomb scored two goals as the Huntsville Havoc doubled up the Fayetteville FireAntz 4-2 Sunday afternoon.
Andrew Schembri and Bill McCreary also scored goals for the Havoc while Robert Sich and Chris Leveille scored one each for Fayetteville.
Dan McWhinney made 39 saves in the win while Guy St. Vincent made 28 in the loss.
The Havoc secures at least the number two seed in the upcoming SPHL Playoffs.
