Danbury Hat Tricks News Release
DANBURY - The Danbury Hat Tricks announced that the team has agreed to terms with forward Genaro Fronduto on a PTO contract for the 2026-27 season.
Fronduto, 22, completed his rookie year with the Hat Tricks in 2025-26. A native of Peabody, Massachusetts, the forward joined Danbury after a successful junior career in the QMJHL and QJHL with the Gatineau Olympiques, Charlottetown Islanders, and Terrebonne Cobras.
In 45 games with Danbury, Fronduto tallied 10 goals and 14 assists. His first career goal came on November 29th, 2025 in a 7-3 win vs the Watertown Wolves. After starting the season in the bottom six, the rookie assumed a larger role in the second half, often centering the team's first line. His season stats reflect this; 19 of his 24 total points came in his final 22 games of the season. The team is hopeful that Fronduto will emerge as an even bigger presence in his sophomore campaign.
On Fronduto's return, General Manager AJ Galante said, "Genaro is a player who I believe could make a massive leap from his rookie season to year two. If you paid attention last season, you could see him finally getting comfortable, producing and also being very physical. Very excited for his potential."
Head Coach John Bierchen added, "Genaro ended last season playing his best hockey. If he starts where he left off, he's going to be a big part of what we need to have a successful season."
