Hartford Athletic News Release
HARTFORD, Conn. - Hartford Athletic announced today that it will team up with a new partner, Citizens Bank, to launch the "Goals For Meals" campaign.
"We are thrilled to partner with Citizens Bank on an extraordinary program to help feed the hungry in our community," said Jordan Charlupski, VP, Revenue & Strategic Initiatives of Hartford Athletic. "As a club, we strive to create positive change in our region, and finding partners who understand this, such as Citizens' mission of 'Citizens Helping Citizens' is of the utmost importance to us."
Citizens Bank will join the Hartford Athletic as the sole partner of the "Goals For Meals" campaign. As the funding partner, Citizens Bank will donate 300 meals for every Hartford Athletic goal scored at Dillon Stadium to Foodshare, the regional food bank serving Hartford and Tolland Counties.
"We are so thankful to both Citizens Bank and Hartford Athletic for joining our efforts in the fight against hunger here in Greater Hartford. Last year, Foodshare provided more than 11 million meals worth of food - and with the support of these two great organizations, we will be able to continue our work in the community" said Foodshare's President and CEO, Jason Jakubowski
"Citizens Bank is proud to join the Hartford Athletic as the Goals for Meals sponsor in our shared fight against hunger in our communities," said Lisa Maass, President, Citizens Bank, Connecticut. By combining the exciting game day experience that the Hartford Athletic brings with FoodShare's mission of providing meals to those who need them the most, we are ensuring everyone in our community wins," said Maass.
