HARRISBURG, PA (Nov 20, 2013) - Central PA youth football associations ended their season with a bang this weekend during the CFA All Star Turnpike Classic. This year, the weekend was sponsored by the Harrisburg Stampede, the Capital Region's premier professional Football Team.

The CFA (Catholic Football Association) all-star teams displayed tremendous sportsmanship, ability and athleticism as they faced teams from across the state and Delaware. "This was just an amazing opportunity and experience for our kids" says Joe Cribari, CFA Commissioner.

Ten games were played this weekend at Landis Field featuring over 300 youth football players. "The all-star team members come from our 30 football associations in the CFA, ranging from the Carlisle Herd, to the Juniata Little Indians and the Harrisburg Packers.

The organizers named the all-star teams the CFA Stampede, a tribute to their hometown pro team. Many of the Harrisburg Stampede players attended the weekend games in support of the children playing. "We are very proud of their accomplishments. The games were exciting and it was great to see all of the kids from different communities come together to play the sport we all love" says Cap Poklemba, the Kicker for the Harrisburg Stampede.

This partnership marks the first of many joint ventures with the CFA. "These kids show remarkable talent and determination, which is why we are dedicated to working with their leadership and volunteers to support their mission" says Marques Colston, President/GM of the Harrisburg Stampede.
