Harrisburg Stampede Ready for Final Open Tryout

HARRISBURG, PA (January 26, 2011) - The 2011 Harrisburg Stampede season is now less than two months away, many key players have been signed, but there is still space on the Southern Indoor Football League (SIFL) team's roster.
Aspiring professional football players will have one last chance to get the attention of the Stampede coaching staff when the "Thunderin' Herd" conducts open tryouts on Friday, February 18th at the Harrisburg Stampede's Official Practice Facility, the "In The Net" Sports Complex of Palmyra Pennsylvania.
After a tremendous 2010 season, which saw the Stampede finish 12-4 and advance to the conference championship game, players can be part of the 2011 season by participating in this open workout. The tryout kicks off with registration from 9:30 PM through 10:15 PM. Registration is $40 for first time attendees.
Players will participate in the following:
10:30 PM - 10:45 PM - Self Stretch/Warm-up
10:45 PM - 10:50 PM - Introductions/Explanation of Testing Areas
10:50 PM - 11:10 PM - Team Stretch and Warm-Up
11:15 PM - Start Testing
Following Completion of Testing - Ten Minute Break
After The Break - Individual Drills
After Individuals- DBs/LBs 1-on-1 with WRs and RBs, Pass Coverage; OL/DL Hand and Footwork Drills
Next session - 3 on 3 with DBs/LBs and WRs; OL/DL and RBs Work on Blocking Techniques
Next Session - 5 on 5 with WRs/RBs/DBs/LBs; OL/DL Continue to Work Technique in 1-on-1 Drills
