Harge Named Coach of the Year

Little Rock, AR. (Tuesday, April 5, 2005)- The American Basketball Association announced Head Coach Joe Harge as USBasket.com All-ABA Coach of the Year. Harge led the Arkansas RimRockers to a 32-5 record and the ABA Championship on March 26.

“It is an honor for the entire RimRockers organization, this is not an individual award, but a team award in a team sport,” Harge said. “This award is representative of all of the work that our owner, the players, front office staff, and coaching staff have put into making a successful organization and successful team. I couldn't be more excited for all of us in the RimRocker organization."

Kareem Reid and Todd Day were also selected to the USBasket.com All-ABA first team.

Reid finished the season with an average of 20.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game while Day finished with an average of 18.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.

The Arkansas RimRockers, of Little Rock, are owned by Larry Crain Sr. and play all home games at Alltel Arena. The RimRockers season runs from November to mid-March. Playoffs immediately follow. For Ticket information, contact the RimRockers’ office by calling 501-975-HOOP.
