Victoria HabourCats News Release
The tragedy that befell the Humboldt Broncos Hockey Team on the weekend is one that hits close to home. Many of us here in the HarbourCats offices have connections to the hockey world and in fact to that team, through many different avenues. Some of us have played the game and ridden those busses, some of us have kids that played the game and have ridden those busses, some of us have worked in media and ridden those busses.
In addition, the HarbourCats of course are a team that relies 100% on bus transport to and from our West Coast League games and as a team that spends many hours on the road, such an incident hits hard. It touches everyone.
We offer prayers and condolences to all the families involved in this horrible incident and as a means of support, the HarbourCats will be donating 100% of all merchandise purchased this week to the Broncos and their needs.
We will also be sporting Humboldt Broncos team logos on our batting helmets and coaches helmets for the entire 2018 season.
Please drop in to our offices this week and grab a hat, t-shirt, mug or a hoodie and support this cause. We are open 10 AM to 5 PM every day this week, 1814 Vancouver Street.
