HarbourCats Announce Promotional Schedule for 2014

VICTORIA, B.C. - With single-seat sales set to start on Saturday, April 19, the Victoria HarbourCats are excited to reveal the promotional plan for the 2014 season at SPORTS TRADERS DIAMOND at Royal Athletic Park.
"We had one criteria in putting these nights together - will the fans like this - said General Manager Jim Swanson.
"We'll be giving away bobbleheads and doing baseball cards for the first time in HarbourCats history. We're also working with the Victoria Chamber of Commerce for a mixer at the park to connect businesses with our team. Island Savings will be sponsoring a chance for a lucky fan to throw a pitch for $25,000, and we'll announce those contest details at the start of the season."
Fisherworks Irrigation Services is presenting the Kelly Norris-Jones Bobblehead Night on June 17, and Synergy Health Centre is backing the Harvey the HarbourCat Bobblehead Giveaway on July 18.
The HarbourCats have one signature promotion that brings an outstanding prize at the very end - called CHEK-TV GETAWAY DAYS. Every home game, lucky fans will be leaving Sports Traders Diamond in a LA Limousine, headed somewhere. It could be dinner for two, a hotel stay, or other local "Ëstaycation' destinations. All those nightly winners will all be in a draw for the final game, August 10, when one of them will win a trip to Seattle on a Clipper ferry, including two nights of hotel, and tickets to see the Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays play on Monday, August 11.
"All the previous winners will have to be packed, have their passports ready, and have warned the boss they won't be at work on Monday," said Swanson. "Make plans for pets, the kids - those previous winners will know in advance they have outstanding odds to end up on that trip."
Opening Night will be staged with help from Sports Traders. Fan Fest Fireworks will take place the night before Canada Day, and on Tuesday, July 1, that game will be an afternoon affair at Sports Traders Diamond. Wallace Driving School is sponsoring the final fireworks night, on August 9. The HarbourCats aren't done, either - a few other ideas are still being completed and will be announced prior to the season.
