Handsor Takes Reigns as Head Coach
November 12, 2008 - Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL)
Denver Dynamite News Release
After an 0-2 league start followed by a 1-1 exhibition record, the Denver Dynamite appointed Chris Handsor as head coach. The Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) veteran and three-time league champion, assisted by co-head coach Chuck Estrada, will assume dual roles as both player and coach.
Handsor replaces Mike Thompson in the position, but the Dynamite hope that Thompson will remain with the organization to continue his work as vice president.
"We thank Coach Thompson for his service and wish him nothing but the best in the future," said owner Pete Randall. "Hopefully, that future is with us." While Thompson has not yet announced his decision whether or not to remain with the team, it should be known in the coming days.
The Dynamite open their inaugural season of professional arena soccer on November 15 against Detroit at the Denver Sports Center. Season ticket plans and individual or group tickets are available online by visiting www.denverdynamitesoccer.com.
