May 14, 2010 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Chicago Hitmen News Release
Friday afternoon at the International Ice Center in Romeoville, IL; team President Mark Hammersmith dropped the puck on a new era for the Chicago Hitmen. The Hitmen ( formerly the Force of the CSHL) are holding a predraft tryout camp this weekend for their NAHL team roster. The NAHL draft is May 26th. It is the first team event since the Hitmen changed their name and added an NAHL team to the organization. There are 114 players assembled, hoping to earn a chance to play in the all-star games at the end of the camp and eventually receive an invite to final training camp which begins on July 28th. Players at this weekend's tryout are also being considered for the Hitmen's CSHL and GLJHL level rosters as well.
Once the final roster is set several young players will need homes. If you think you may be able to help a young man pursue his dream of playing in the NHL go to chicagohitmenhockey.com and click on the "housing" tab.
