Wilmington, NC - Wilmington Hammerheads FC will take on the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on Saturday, April 12 for their first road match of the 2014 USL PRO regular season. The teams kick off at 7:00 p.m. at Highmark Stadium.
The Hammerheads are coming off a recent 0-0 draw versus the Harrisburg City Islanders last weekend at Legion Stadium as they took the pitch for the first time following their recent rebranding and Major League Soccer affiliation with Toronto FC.
There were several missed opportunities by the Hammerheads during their first match with 11 shots on goal overall. On the other hand, the newly assembled backline was preventative in allowing any opposing goals.
Saturday's match will be the first home match for the Riverhounds who began their season on the road versus Orlando City in late March, ending in a 1-1 draw. The Riverhounds recently fell 3-1 to the Richmond Kickers over the weekend at City Stadium.
