STOCKTON, Calif. - Josh Hader allowed four runs over four innings and suffered his first loss of the season in the JetHawks 5-1 loss to the Stockton Ports in a rubber game on Thursday night at Banner Island Ballpark.

The loss was the Lancaster's ninth in its last 12 games and dropped the JetHawks (49-35) into a first place tie with Lake Elsinore atop the South Division.

Hader (7-1) struggled with his control in the first inning and the Ports (47-37) took advantage. Boog Powell and Daniel Robertson led off the inning with singles and Hader hit Renato Nunez to load the bases with one out. He proceeded to walk Ryon Healy to bring the first run of the game home.

Stockton added a run in the third inning on a Nunez RBI-single to score Robertson who had tripled to start the inning.

In the fourth Powell singled to score Billy McKinney, moved to second on a single, to third on a wild pitch and scored on a passed ball.

Hader tied a career-high with eight hits allowed and gave three earned runs to snap a stretch of 12 consecutive outings with two earned runs or fewer. The lefty struck out five and walked two.

Ports starter Seth Streich (9-4) tossed 5 2/3 scoreless innings. He allowed six hits and struck out four.

Lancaster got on the board in the seventh inning on a two-out RBI infield single for off the bat of Jordan Scott but Chan Moon struck out with runners at second and third to end the rally.

Stockton got the run back in the bottom of the seventh against reliever Zach Morton. Healy doubled with one out and scored on a two out single by Colin Walsh.

The JetHawks return home to begin a seven-game homestand and a four-game series with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes on Friday. Mark Appel will pitch against Julio Urias. First pitch is 6:30 p.m.

Limited grass seating is available for the 4th of July game.
