Aberdeen Wings News Release
Monday, the North American Hockey League announced the Easton Divisional Stars of the Week. Making the list as honorable mention were Aberdeen Wings forwards #11 TJ Roo and #16 Kyle Haak.
The Wings fell to first-place Austin in a pair on the road last Friday and Saturday. Both games, the Wings jumped on the Bruins early and went into the locker room 2-0 after the first period. But also in both games, Austin really solidified their shots on goal. Despite the weekend series, the Wings did see great play from their first line and two of those players have received honorable mention.
Wings forward #11 TJ Roo (F-Coon Rapids, MN) received the honor for his play over the weekend, which tallied two goals on Friday night and one goal on Saturday night. The three-goal weekend for Roo capped off an exciting week for him as he made his college commitment to play for the Bemidji State University Beavers D-1 hockey program. Roo currently has 13 goals and 18 assists for a team leading 31 points.
The Wings also got a great weekend out of forward #16 Kyle Haak (F-Okemos, MI) who had two assists in the Friday night's game and two assists in the Saturday night's game. Haak now has 11 goals and 15 assists on the season, good enough for third best point total on the team.
The Wings are in action at The Odde this weekend taking on the Minot Minotauros both Friday and Saturday. General admission is just $10, reserved seating $12. Keep checking www.AberdeenWings.com for more details including intermission entertainment.
