Gwinnett Finishes Comeback against Road Warriors

Greenville, SC : The Road Warriors home and home series told a similar story for the road team. After taking an overtime loss last night, the Gladiators created a comeback of their own beating the Road Warriors in regulation by a 4-3 score.

Greenville started off the game with a commanding first period. Brandon Wong netted his fourth goal of the season beating Gwinnett goaltender Mike Lee on the power play. Steven Delisle and Chris Clackson received fighting majors shortly after the goal which brought a higher intensity to the Road Warriors bench. Marc-Olivier Vallerand put the second goal behind Lee on the power play scoring his second on the season and continuing his point streak at 3 games. Shayne Wiebe would put the Road Warriors ahead by 3 goals scoring on the poweplay at the 7 minute mark in the 2nd. The Gladiators would quickly turn on the offense scoring just 19 seconds later from Casey Pierro-Zabotel. The Gladiators leading point scorer would put another goal in to tie the game. Joey Haddad scored the second goal and Tyler Murovich would knock in the game winner to complete the comeback.

The Road Warriors next home games are November 2nd and 3rd where Fans can celebrate the Road Warrior Tailgate Weekend. Fans can tailgate at the Charter Business Plaza for Hockey Happy Hour on Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The first 1,500 Fans in the door receive a koozie at Friday night's game! On Saturday's game the first 1,500 fans will receive a knit cap!
