Bakersfield Condors News Release

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors (2-3-0-0, 4pts) G Scott Greenham made 24 saves, plus five in the shootout, to pace a 2-1 victory over the San Francisco Bulls (2-1-0-2, 6pts) at Rabobank Arena Saturday night.

Bakersfield controlled the tempo in the opening period, and took a 1-0 lead into the dressing room. F Alex Hudson took a feed from F Evan Trupp and cruised in one-on-one against Bulls G Taylor Nelson, burying it for his first of the season. The Condors held a 14-6 shot lead in the period.

San Fran pressured in the middle frame but could not best Greenham. They managed a 9-6 lead in shots during the period, but the Condors held them at bay.

The Bulls finally found the back of the net, at 7:07 of the third on the power play. F Justin Bowers sent a wrist shot home from the top of the slot, through traffic to tie it up 1-1. Regulation ended with that score and the Condors headed to their first overtime game of the season.

Neither club scored in overtime, while in the shootout, only one player lit the lamp. Condors rookie F Brett Perlini was that player, while Greenham was perfect, stopping all five San Francisco shooters for the win.
