-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Guelph Storm and proud partner VIA Rail will celebrate every Storm goal on December 17th by giving one randomly drawn fan $500 in VIA Rail travel certificates.

Last season, the Storm hosted the Sarnia Sting on VIA Rail Night at the Storm and gave away $3,000.00 in VIA Rail travel certificates, when Guelph defeated Sarnia 6-3, with 6 fans each winning $500.

One lucky fan will be randomly drawn after each Storm goal and awarded a $500 VIA Rail Travel Certificate. Wondering how far you can go with $500 in VIA Rail travel certificates? How about to the East Coast of Canada... for $490.00 plus GST you can purchase a return ticket to Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Travel through Ontario and Quebec aboard the Corridor trains and discover Central Canada's ever-changing landscape. With departures from Guelph, visit Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, thoroughly modern centres steeped in tradition. Stroll through the cobblestone streets of Quebec's old city and Montreal's Old Port, historic gateways to the New World. Visit the Niagara Peninsula, with its many vineyards and - of course - its famed romantic destination, Niagara Falls, or board for a cruise through the 1,000 islands in the Kingston area.

These are but a few of the many destinations offered to you along the Corridor. Enjoy the comfort and convenience of rail travel. Whether for business, or leisure, with VIA Rail, every trip will be a pleasure.

Also, on December 17th, the Salvation Army band will be on hand to welcome fans to the game and play the National Anthem. Prior to the game, the Salvation Army invites fans to participate in their TOSS A TOONIE campaign by donating a toonie into The Salvation Army Kettle to help the less fortunate in the community.

A LOOK AHEAD…

Guelph will wrap up their pre-Christmas schedule with three important conference games. Storm captain, Ryan Callahan will likely miss 8 games to represent the United States at the World Junior Championship. On Thursday night, the Storm will travel to Sarnia hoping to add to their six-point lead over the 9th place Sting. On Friday night at home, Guelph will face the Soo Greyhounds without their captain Jeff Carter, who is expected to make the Canadian World Jr. National Team. The Storm will make their second visit to London in 8 days on Saturday night to face the Knights. The Knight's line-up could look dramatically different than last Friday, with four different players at World Junior Camps. Rob Schremp will be with Team USA, while Danny Syvret, David Bolland and Corey Perry are attending Canada's World Junior Camp. Team Canada's selection camp will wrap-up on Thursday, December 16, so potentially one, two, or three of the Knights might be back in the line-up.

Dave Barr's Keys to Victory:

Versus Sarnia Sting:

- "0 for 2 against them already, need to stay ahead of them in the standings"

- "Nice to grab the 2 points from a team in our conference"

Versus Soo Greyhounds:

- "The middle game of a 3-in3 is always a little tough."

- "Played well against them in the past, need to again."

- "Need to get back to .500 at home."

Versus London Knights:

- "Would be great to grab a point out of London before the holidays."

- "Getting a win in London before the break would be great."

- "Played very well there in an intense atmosphere, hopefully play that way again."
