Greg Pankewicz's Hat Trick Voted Performance Of The Week

The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that Colorado forward Greg Pankewicz's effort on Saturday, March 1st in a 5-2 win over New Mexico has been voted by the fans of the CHL the Performance of the Week. The Eagles veteran right wing netted a hat trick in the game along with an assist. The win marks the fourth time this season the Eagles have won the weekly performance award.

Pankewicz's victory received 5,322 votes accounting for 61% of the total votes cast. Earning second place with 2,853 votes was Odessa's Nathan Ward who scored a hat trick in the Jackalopes win versus Colorado on February 29th. In all, 8,638 fanes voted in Week 20's poll. Pankewicz's hat trick will be automatically considered as a finalist for the 2007-08 CHL Performance of the Year which will be announced in April, 2008.

Pankewicz is in his fifth season with the Eagles recording 369 points (166-203=369) during his 239 career games with Colorado. This season, the Drayton Valley, Alberta native has scored 21 goals with 45 assists.

Josh Bonar's (RGV) penalty shot goal in the Bees 3-2 victory at Austin, March 9

Texas scoring five goals in a 5:53 stretch of the third period of their 5-1 win at OKC, March 9

Kyle Bruce's (WIC) penalty shot goal in the Thunder's 3-2 victory vs. Mississippi, March 5

Clay Plume (RMR) scoring the game winning OT goal in 5-4 win vs. Arizona, March 4

Chad Woollard's (MIS) hat trick in the RiverKings 6-2 win at RMR, March 8
