Pulaski Mariners News Release
Pulaski, VA- The Greenville Astros put up 15 hits in a decisive 9-4 victory over the Mariners Wednesday night at Historic Calfee Park.
The Astros second baseman Brian Blasik and shortstop Jean Bautista led Greenville's offensive surge. Blasik seemingly could not be stopped as he went 4-4 with a walk and three runs scored, while Bautista capitalized with runners on, going 2-4 collecting 4 RBI's and 2 runs.
Offensively for the Mariners, Jabari Henry (1-3 HR, BB) and Tyler Marlette (1-3 HR, BB) both hit their fourth homeruns of the year on solo-shots in the 6th and 9th innings. Reggie Lawson (3-4 1R) and Jordy Lara (2-4 RBI) were the only Mariners able to put together multi-hit nights.
The Mariners will play Greeneville tomorrow, 7 p.m., in the rubber match game of their three game series at Historic Calfee Park.
