Greeneville, TN - The Greeneville Astros have announced, thanks to a generous donor, their July 4th Post-Game Celebration featuring a Frankie Ballard benefit concert and the largest fireworks show in the area has now become a free event with paid admission to the baseball game. Tickets to the game, ranging from $6-$9, are available for purchase now at www.greenevilleastros.com, by phone at (423) 638-0411, and at the Pioneer Park ticket office.
Frankie Ballard is best known for his hits "Sunshine & Whiskey," "Tell Me You Get Lonely," "A Buncha Girls," "Young & Crazy" and "Helluva Life." His latest album, El Rio, featuring the hit single "It All Started With A Beer" was recently released on June 10.
"With huge thanks to our donor, who wished to remain anonymous, we are thrilled to be able to offer this event to our fans and our community at no extra cost," said Astros general manager David Lane. "We couldn't be more excited to have Frankie Ballard here to add to the experience of enjoying the Fourth of July with the Astros at Pioneer Park."
The Astros will take on the Kingsport Mets at 4:00 p.m. with gates opening at 3:00 p.m. Laughlin Memorial Hospital will hand out patriotic t-shirts to fans arriving early to the game. The Post-Game Celebration will begin an hour after the conclusion of the game.
Fans will be allowed onto the field to enjoy the concert, which will take place on a center-field stage. Following the concert, the largest fireworks show in East Tennessee will be presented by Landair.
Fans can bring a blanket but no chairs are allowed inside Pioneer Park. Those in attendance are allowed to bring food and water that is transported in a clear, plastic bag no larger than one gallon in size, and water must be in a factory-sealed, plastic bottle, no larger than one liter.
