The Senators tallied four runs in the first on their way to an 8-2 win Friday night at Altoona. The runs in the first were all Senators starter Cade Cavalli needed. Three home runs by the Senators accounted for five of their eight runs. The win snapped the Senators six-game losing streak.
ON CAPITAL HILL
Cade Cavalli went 6.2 dominant innings. He struck out 12, walked one and allowed just two hits. He retired 16 straight batters before walking the final hitter he faced. He struck out six of the final eight batters he faced.
Ryan Tapani followed Cavalli and went 1.1 innings allowing two runs on two hits. He also struck out two in his second outing since being activated from the injured list.
Reid Schaller pitched the ninth allowing a single in a scoreless ninth inning.
WITH THE GAVEL
KJ Harrison hit two two-run home runs that went approximately 830 combined feet.
Jake Alu hit a solo home run, his third with the Senators.
Rhett Wiseman had two doubles, drove in one and scored twice.
Cole Freeman had two hits, two stolen bases and scored a run.
Gage Canning had two hits including a double, an RBI and a run scored.
FILIBUSTERS
For the second straight game the Senators had 11 hits. With the 11 hits, the Senators raised their team batting average to a season high .223. Harrisburg has had 10+ hits in 6 of the 10 games on the road trip. The 12 strikeouts were a season high by a Senators pitcher, eclipsing the 11 Cavalli had against Altoona in June. Harrison's two runs are the second time this season a Senator batter has hit two home runs in a game (Drew Mendoza 5/25 at Bowie)

The Senators and Altoona Curve play game five of their six-game series Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at Peoples Natural Gas Field in Altoona. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 5:40 p.m.
