BIRCH RUN, MI (October 230, 2003) â Team Training camp begins October 30, 2003. The Great Lakes Storm, Michigan's Continental Basketball Team, announced today, its 2003-2004 roster of players and the beginning of its training camp.
The Great Lakes Storm's training camp roster will begin training on October 30th at the Center Courts Facility, located at 3320 N. Center Road, in Saginaw Township. The 18 member roster will begin a vigorous pre-game schedule of practice and drills, October 30 through November 9. This is an excellent opportunity for the public to preview this professional group of players and to get a sense of the intense gamesmanship and experience these CBA players bring to the court.
The Great Lakes Storm's training camp roster of players will hold two exhibitions. The first, an Intrasquad Scrimmage on Saturday November 8th 7 P.M., at Fremont Christian Middle School. the Storm will be in the middle of its veterans' camp, which entails having 18 young men who are vying for spots on the final roster of 10. The team will hit Fremont with between 14-18 players. This intrasquad scrimmage will be a considerable determining factor in the evaluations of the players by the coaching staff, so the level of play and intensity will be very high. The second exhibition is a Scrimmage against the Rockford Lightning (CBA Team) on November 10th 3:00 Central Time, at the Metro Centre in Rockford, IL.
The Great Lakes Storm will begin its 2nd exciting season of CBA Basketball on November 14 against the Gary (IN) Steelheads at 7:05 PM at the Birch Run Expo Center. The upcoming game schedule features 24 home game dates. Season tickets and game packages are still available for purchase.
